Acompli is a company that makes email client for Android and iOS for perform simple at times complex tasks. The different tasks include sorting messages, finding attachments and sending typical responses specially designed for the mobile platform. The app runs fine on both Google and Apple platforms and hence Microsoft planned to take the advantages of this app.
Over the past year there has been major changes in the email clients of different companies. Google’s Gmail has surfaced with new tabs interface last year. The Inbox app gets even better. The hardware giant IBM is also trying new ways to organize and present the emails. The Microsoft’s Acompli app will compete with all these new apps.
The announcement did not give the clarity on whether if Acompli will continue as a stand-alone app or will it be as a integral part of the giant Microsoft Outlook for the mobile platform. It can be noticed that from the past few months Microsoft has been keen on putting its products across different platforms.
